Overview
What Arrha is, where the name comes from, and the words used across the protocol.
What Arrha is
Arrha is on-chain escrow that pays on results. A project locks HYPE or its own token into a Deal and names who gets paid. It sets a Term: a condition the chain can read, such as market cap held for 24 h, graduation, volume, liquidity, a HyperCore listing, an oath score, or time. When the Term is true, anyone can call settle and the payee is paid. If the deadline passes with the Term false, the payer is refunded in full.
Arrha runs on Elysium, the Hyperliquid L2 built by Kinetiq. This site and its contracts are a testnet build on Elysium Testnet, chain id 99801.
The name
Arrha is Latin for earnest money: a sum given to seal a contract, forfeited by whoever backs out. The word comes from the Greek ἀρραβών, a pledge paid in advance as proof of intent. Arrha applies the same idea with a contract that holds the pledge and a condition that decides who keeps it.
Vocabulary

|---|---|
| Deal | One immutable escrow contract between a payer and a payee. |
| Term | A condition contract answering check(deal, data) with true or false. |

| Kill fee | In Handshake mode, the share from 0 to 30 % the payee keeps if the payer rejects. |
| Double arrha | Optional payee bond. Forfeited to the payer if the payee never delivers. |
| Tranches | Several Terms in series inside one Deal, each settling on its own. |
